We are a "purpose driven" youth group here at Franklin Community Church. Our youth meet monthly at designated dates for missions, worship, outreach, ministry, discipleship, and fellowship activities.
Join our Youth Director and other adult volunteers as we learn about sharing Christian faith in a community of love and acceptance. We welcome all youth, regardless of their religious background.
We encourage our students to bring their friends of various religious backgrounds. All are welcome to join this youth ministry. We are ecumenical in nature and spirit.
In addition to our scheduled meetings, we offer various opportunities for spiritual growth through retreats, missions projects, and Christ-centered fellowship.
We support 30 Hour Famine, CASS Community Services in Detroit, the Baldwin Center of Pontiac, the Pittsburg Project, and Mountain T.O.P (Tennessee Outreach Project) through yearly trips and planned weekends.
We also offer retreats for special occasions, including our yearly confirmation class (grades 7-8). Youth are encouraged to use these opportunities as hours towards community service points in school and other local service groups.
Youth Ministry
We offer Tweener Sunday School (grades 5-8) and Senior High classes for youth (grades 9-12) between the months of September and May. In the summer, youth have opportunities to attend our vacation bible school (through grade 6), while youth in grades 7-12 are encouraged to participate as student leaders and volunteers for VBS each June.
